Our contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals

How the collaboratio helvetica community contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals!

Implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Switzerland remains a major challenge. As a prosperous country, we have to contend with a high consumption of resources as a result of our above-average consumption. We are lagging behind in implementing gender equality - Switzerland currently ranks 26th out of 29 OECD countries. And we contribute indirectly - for example through the supply chain or our consumer behaviour - to many of the grievances addressed and to be combated in the SGDs. Accordingly, Switzerland does not perform well in a study by the Bertelsmann Stiftung: only one indicator is green. All others are yellow, orange or even red. The high standard of living and the fact that we often do not feel the negative consequences of our actions ourselves, often complicate important discussions about the SDGs and the necessary systemic change that is essential in Switzerland, too. Collaboratio helvetica has therefore set itself the goal of supporting individuals and their initiatives in Switzerland who are committed to the Agenda 2030 and want to promote systemic change. Results of our work, projects and prototypes can be found here.
